The responsability of the monitor of the group

Dear teacher and fellows,

How are you?

I wrote an article on this topic and namely how it  is and how a person feels and behaves when he/she is  a monitor of the group and I decided to post it here.I can say for sure that this is a big responsability. You must have much patience to listen to everybody,to know everything when they ask you, etc.Maybe some of you will read, like and appreciate.

The responsibility of the monitor

Alecu Russo Bălţi State University is one of the best universities from our country. This is the place where you can find the best teachers, the best classes, the best subjects, the best groups, the best students and fellows.
I am very happy that I have the possibility to study here. At the beginning I had a bit of regrets. Everything was so new and unusual for me and it was a little bit difficult to become familiar with everything around me. What hurt most was that my family and my sweet home were far away from me.
But as they say “Time heals all wounds”, finally the university started getting nicer and nicer. Now I like everything, the fellows and the teachers and the classes and … the canteen.
My fellows, everyone special in his/her own way, are very kind, generous, and beautiful and I love them. We get on well, we have become friends and, even more, we have become a family. We spend a lot of time together. We laugh, we have fun, we study, we participate in different activities, we help each other and, as in every group of people, sometimes, we quarrel.
Anyway, I like my group and my fellows and I am proud that they are my friends.
When I was asked to be their monitor, I was scared. In my opinion, to monitor is a great responsibility. You must keep everything under control, and I am talking only about the register but also about one’s self-control. In addition, you must keep everyone informed about the timetable, about the eventual changes in it, about books, marks, exams, holidays, activities… To make a long story short, to be a monitor means to be responsible for everything.
That is why I would like to thank all my fellows for their support and un-derstanding. They have always helped me and encouraged me. It is so nice to know that there are people around you on whom you can rely.
I would like to thank our dear teacher of English too because she also helps me every time I need it and she is not angry with me when I bother her so often.

My first realizations on the new book

My dear teacher and my dear fellows,

How are you? What are you doing during the vacation?

I am glad to come back here again. I woud like to post something about our new book that we must read : "Fahrenheit 451" by Ray Bradbury.

I read some pages from it and I can tell that I don't like it so much. It's interesting but also it's difficult to read and understand. Maybe if I read more pages I will understand its content better and the author's mesage.

As I read I discovered two characters : Guy Montag,a man of 30 years old who is a fireman for ten years. He is a  minstrel man,burnt-corked with his symbolic helmet numbered 451 on his stolid head, and his eyes all orange flame. Now,I can say that he is a positive character because he is just a man after all,a good man,but as a fireman I want to mention one feature that I don't like and namely that a fireman,as we all know is one who must damp houses when they are in fire, when some accidents happen but in this book I discovered that a fireman must set fire to houses where there are books as Clarisse McClellan said too.

Another character as I have already mentioned is Clarisse McClellan,a crazy girl of seventeen years old who meets Montag and walks back with him,She is not afraid of firemen as many people are.She recognizes his job at once because of the smell of kerosene which Montag considers nothing but perfume to him.Her face is bright as snow in the moonlight. She likes to smell things and look at things and sometimes stay up all night, walking, and watch the sun rise.

I am interested in this book,in it's mesageand I will continue to read it to dicovered what will happen next and what Montag will do with his life, his happiness(because Clarisse touched his soul and his mind with the question : " Are you happy?" ),with the books, with his job, etc.

Good luck to everybody and read this book because,as I think,it reveals us the importance of the books and the reading which was so strictly prohibited in the past(when the book was written) and it so indifferent now, because our generation lost the interest in the books and reading.

Love,
Alina
